If there was one thing that marked Fluttershy out from all the other ponies in Ponyville, other than her skill with animals, it was her long, flowing mane. All smooth, natural hair (a nasty rumour had circulated once that she used mane extensions, but that got put to rest pretty quickly), the butter-yellow pegasus's candy-pink mane almost seemed to have a life of its own. As Fluttershy walked or flew to tend to her woodland critter friends, her mane would dance in the wind like a flag at a parade. Fluttershy wasn't a vain mare by any means, but she allowed herself some small pride in her gorgeous head of hair.
