~~EXTREME OUTDOORS CONTEST~~

The Extreme Outdoors contest has finally arrived! As our fourth contest this is a chance for all of you to get those drawing hands loosened up and win some prizes! Let's get started!

THE RULES AND THEME

You will be exploring the theme of the extreme outdoors. Going for a stroll in the park? Why not take an extreme stroll along the edge of a cliff? Rarity likes to weave baskets? How about extreme underwater basket-weaving! See where I'm going with this?
Entries must contain a pony or ponies doing an extreme activity in the outdoors. If it's not extreme, then make it extreme!

You may include:
• Characters from the show (Celestia; Rainbow Dash etc.)
• Original Characters
• Equestria Girls if the style of the film is followed (for example: skin tones from the film must be used)

You may not include:
• Mature artwork - Keep the art family friendly
• Artwork made from other artist's bases.

As before, literature entries will not be counted. We may hold a separate contest for written entries in the future if there is interest. Authors, let us know down below!

HOW TO ENTER

During the time that the contest will be running, there will be a new folder that you can submit to alongside 'Submission Box'. This will be called 'Extreme Outdoors Contest Entries'. Submit your entries there and we'll handle the rest. It's a good idea to specify in the title of the deviation, or the description, that it's for this contest, as well.

There is no limit on how many times you can enter, but each user can only win once!

WHAT ARE THE JUDGING CRITERIA?

At the end of the time frame for submissions, the ten deviations that we feel best represent the theme of the contest will be selected by the admins and a poll will be run. You, the members, can then vote on this poll, which will be on the main page of the group, for the entry that you think best illustrates the Extreme Outdoors. This poll will run for one week, and at the end of that week the three deviations with the most votes will win 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. By us selecting the top ten, and then you guys having control over which of them win, we hope to strike a balance between moderator and member interaction, so that everyone gets a say.

WHAT ARE THE PRIZES

• 1st prize = 1 Year Core Membership or the 4,000 DeviantArt point equivalent + art prize from PartyPieVT + art prize from frostedpuffs + art prize from matrix541

• 2nd prize = 6 month Core Membership or the 2,400 DeviantArt point equivalent +art prize from PartyPieVT

• 3rd prize = 3 month Core Membership or the 1,200 DeviantArt point equivalent

(Winners are free to request prizes be given to a friend if they so choose)
